Modem router yang cukup murah HG553 vodafone saat saya beli harganya 150rb saja, tapi tidak murahan, kenapa saya bilang tidak murahan, sebab router ini sudah saya pakai berbulan bulan nonstop, tidak ada masalah dan body dingin terus, sayang firmwarae bawaannya tidak support semua modem yang ada di indonesia ditambah lagi memakai bahasa spanyol yang bikin bingung saat konfigurasi.

Setelah googling ketemulah firmware OpenWRT, setelah ujicoba beberapa firmware

Saya akhirnya menggunakan firmware yang cukup ringan hanya 3mb kalau agan mau silahkan download disini

Langsung saja Tahapan upgrate atau tepatnya mengganti firmware dari bawaannya yg asli ke fimware openwrt:

Berikut siapin dulu bahan-bahan upgrade firmware HG553 :
1. Router Huawei echolife HG553
2. Firmware OpenWRT untuk HG553 yang sudah agan download di atas
3. PC / laptop
4. Kabel LAN

Tahap I

1. Matikan router > Tekan tombol reset (bisa menggunakan tusuh gigi/ lainnya) > hidupkan router (tombol reset masih ditekan selama 30 detik). Jika sudah 30 detik bisa dilepas.

2. Selanjutnya buka Laptop/ PC, setting IP manual ip address 192.168.1.2 , Subnet 255.255.255.0 dan Gateway 192.168.1.1 lalu disimpan.
